Oakview is located in the north-east corner of Oakville just south of Skellenger Lane. Its proximity to the eastern hills provides volcanic deposits to this extremely gravelly site. A selection of clones helps us create wines with a diverse set of components. Oakview produces wines that show off the best qualities of Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit is rich, dense and powerful while retaining freshness and vibrancy. The wines are framed with silky tannins and moderate acidity. Oakville at its finest.
From an Oakville vineyard situated just south of Skellenger Lane, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakview Vineyard boasts classic appellation overtones of black cherries and loam, accented by mocha-tinged oak. It's full-bodied and velvety, even if it seems to lack a bit of length on the finish relative to the other 2021 barrel samples at this address.
